Enter Steel Karakul is now a resident of the Karakul FEZ

“Enter Steel Karakul” LLC has become a resident of the Free Economic Zone “Karakul” (hereinafter – FEZ “Karakul”) and is planning to invest 15 million dollars in the construction of a plant for the production of metal structures (hereinafter – FEZ “Karakul”) on the territory of FEZ “Karakul” plant for the production of metal structures (hereinafter – SPP).

Once the construction is completed, the area of the plant will be 14.8 hectares and its production capacity will be 50,000 tons of metal structures per year, including  production and processing of steel trestles for process pipelines, metal frames for buildings and structures, high-voltage transmission towers, searchlight masts, communication antenna-mast structures and other metal structures. Moreover, for the first time in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, the enterprise will produce drilling rigs for the country’s oil industry, as well as for export to Russia and other countries.

The construction of such a large industrial enterprise will not only give an additional impulse to the development of economy and industry in the Bukhara region, create about 500 new jobs, but also strengthen the company’s position in the regional market.

Bakhodur Hafizov, director of FEZ “Karakul”, noted: “Inclusion of Enter Steel Karakul in the number of residents of FEZ “Karakul” and construction of the steel structures plant is an important stage in the establishment and development of FEZ “Karakul”.

The company noted that the choice of FEZ “Karakul” in Bukhara region to locate the SPP was due to its favorable geographical location, availability of resources and conditions that provide great opportunities for industrial development. In addition, the planned parallel construction of other major investment projects in FEZ “Karakul”, such as a gas-chemical complex based on Methanol to Olefins technology, provides the company with an opportunity to cooperate with potential partners in the future.

The founder of Enter Steel Karakul company is Enter Steel LLC, a foreign investment enterprise, is one of the largest enterprises in Uzbekistan producing steel structures, bridge and gantry cranes, pressure vessels and apparatuses.  Currently, “Enter Steel Almalyk” branch operates in Almalyk, where steel structures are produced for construction of copper processing plant 3 (MOF-3) of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
